Como preparar Berenjenas Fritas?

Preparar Berenjenas Fritas com mel é fácil. Primeiro, lavar a beringela e cortá-la em fatias redondas de um centímetro ou 0,4 polegadas de espessura.

Depois, adicionar as fatias a uma tigela grande, adicionar uma pitada de sal, e cobri-las com leite durante pelo menos uma hora. Este passo é importante para tirar a amargura das berinjelas.

Agora, cobrir as fatias de beringela com farinha e fritá-las em azeite de oliva extra virgem e quente.

Ingredients

  • 1 eggplant
  • Milk
  • Honey
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper
  • Flour
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the eggplant in around 1 cm or 0.4 inches thick slices.
  2. Put the eggplant slices in a bowl and cover them with milk for at least one hour. Add a pinch of salt. This step is important to draw out the bitterness of the eggplants.
  3. After one hour drain the eggplant slices and coat them in flour. Optional: Add salt and pepper to the flour and mix.
  4. Heat up extra virgin olive oil in a large pan and add the first batch of eggplant slices. Don’t add too many slices at the same time to make sure that they turn crispy evenly.
  5. Remove the eggplant slices from the pan and drain them on a paper towel.
  6. Serve them on a plate, season with salt, and drizzle with honey.
